Firstly, for my magazine cover I'm going to use a large masthead starting from the top left side of the page as people as readers tend to look from top left of the page to the bottom right allowing the title RDZ FLMS to be the first thing they see. the font will be big bold text most likely in sans serif to show the upper class status of the magazine and to denote to the audience that we cover only box office films the text will also be in red colour as it has numerous connotations such as love, hatred, passion, courage and sexuality; I've done this to show the audience that my series contains moments pain, setback and joy and denote the rollercoaster of emotion within the series. Part of the masthead may be covered by the protagonist of the featured series, the image will probably be a snap shot of an episode because as that's what the audience is most interested in. this connotes how popular the magazine brand will be and yet still has its own identity. A variation of text and textures make the magazine more interesting to look at id probably use a similar colour palette of red however may use some text in black and white to contrast some of the other text that will surround the front cover. the language will alter between formal and informal depending on what the series/film this will allow certain audiences to enjoy there type of shows. however if it was a crime drama id add more formal serious text. ill use the main protagonist on the top layer of the cover and the audience will instantly recognise the film. at the bottom of the page there would be a banner mentioning the other film the magazine covers giving the audience a range of films/series to read about further increasing readership. this may be shown with a '+' sign in big bold font clearly sticking out I've chosen to do this to give the reader more reason to read the magazine. through the many layers of text I could add some positive reviews from the main series to persuade the audience that the show is worth watching. on the bottom right of the page it will include a barcode and price tag which essential for top tier magazines. ill charge £7.99 for the magazine. the  target audience will be 18-34 years of age and will target both genders. on my double page spread ill include an article with an actor from the main series talking about his experiences on set with the film crew. ill do this to show the effort that has been put into the series and some readers could possibly relate to some of the experiences on set allowing the reader to identify with the actor. the mis en scene  as a whole will be 300 words and also include details of the release date and which cinemas are showing the film. the double page spread will also include images of a scene from the series. it will most likely dominate the double page spread with smaller, secondary images complimenting it with small descriptions of what's going on within that picture or perhaps a fun fact within that scene. Such as how a certain costume is made. Ive also chosen to do these to give the reader a clear view of what the film is about. the image will have no special effects added to it to show the realness of the film and probably be a key moment within the series to add excitement and/or tension to give the audience the 'real deal'. I'm aiming to keep the same colour scheme to the double page spread and throughout the whole magazine. there will be page numbers at the bottom corners of each page and the double page spread so the reader knows exactly where to come back to. it would start off with a big bold heading of the title of the show with an age rating next to it to let the reader know what their going to read. regarding to the colour scheme black, white and red are traditionally used in film magazines making it professional and easy for the reader to read.i may also add a buzz word on the double page spread such as "rollercoaster of emotion" letting readers know that this a popular and intriguing series; I can also add reviews at the bottom of the article to enhance this. as the main character of this series is a young athlete (footballer) who faces through challenges and upsets to get to where he is. with setbacks such as the death of his mother and serious injuries. I've chosen this so the reader can self-reassure himself that other people go through the same problems and how to tackle these setbacks and keep motivated. and with football being the most played sport in the world a lot of people can relate to the ups and downs of the main character. the character is also muslim allowing the muslim community to identify with the character and have mutual interest religiously.
