What techniques do your chosen texts use to effectively target and maximise their online audience? 30 marks.

Zoella's social media and website and Attitude magazine website both effectively target their online audiences. One way this is shown is by Zoellas use of her social media using media platforms such as instagram and twitter actively, she encourages her audience to interact with her such as retweeting or commenting on her old youtube videos. attitude magazine uses a simple black and white colour palette through out the website. with many of the articles featuring gay men such as former olympian Colin Jackson clearly aiming at the older audiences.  In addition, both Zoella and Attitudes attract audiences through contrasting ideas. Zoella, being a well renowned YouTuber (11.1 million subscribers) uses traditional camera techniques such as close up to medium shots of her face. this is done to show that the video is based around her and creates a interpersonal relationship with her audience while at the same time creating this persona and almost uses it as a USP as other youtubers...
